About me Lisa Unger
I know what it feels like to struggle with my behaviours around food and hating my body.

I did manage to keep the weight off, but maintaining the weight loss dominated my life. Even my kids noticed how stressed I got when eating out.

I needed help to navigate why I struggled so much around food. I was shocked to find that it wasn’t just restriction and bingeing that were driving my behaviour. Nutrition did play a part, but so did other areas, including my childhood experiences, negative beliefs about myself, and how I managed emotions.

I no longer feel controlled by restrictive eating patterns or overwhelmed by thoughts about my appearance. I am now free to fully engage in life, with confidence.

I wanted to help others overcome their battles with food, as I never wanted others to feel the same way that I had. So I went back to college to study nutritional therapy, followed by further study to become an emotional and eating disorders specialist.
