About Me

I understand that escaping the dieting mindset is really hard, after struggling with my own eating disorder for many years. I tried every diet there was, yoyo-ing between restricting myself to certain foods and then bingeing in secret when I couldn’t keep to my plan. As my weight increased, so did my shame, frustration and hate for myself and my body. It was soul destroying and I felt such a failure.

I had to learn about myself. It wasn’t easy and it took time for me to understand where my struggles were coming from. It wasn’t about what I ate, but about how I ate, and all the feelings behind why I was eating, that were keeping me stuck in my unhealthy relationship with food. It was only when I learnt how to make long term, sustainable changes to my behaviour around food, that I began to recover from my disorder.

I have been motivated by my experiences to want to help others battling with the same or similar issues, which is why I have become an emotional and eating disorder specialist. If you relate to my story, please get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
